About

Mohamed Zaghloul finished the PhD at the chair of Computer Aided Architectural Design (CAAD), ETH Zürich by the end of April 2017. The research aimed to integrate Machine learning algorithms – Self-organizing maps SOM – with the parametric design process in order to compute the non-linearity relations between the physical parameters of building performances and the building geometry. He holds a Msc degree in architecture and works as an assistant lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Alexandria University ‐ department of Architecture. He is Co-founder & Research director at Encode studio http://www.encodestudio.net. He developed Mantis as a Mathematica add‐on tools for Grasshopper  http://www.grasshopper3d.com/group/mantis
