Mohamed Zaghloul finished the PhD at the chair of Computer Aided Architectural Design (CAAD), ETH Zürich by the end of April 2017. The research aimed to integrate Machine learning algorithms – Self-organizing maps SOM – with the parametric design process in order to compute the non-linearity relations between the physical parameters of building performances and the building geometry. He holds a Msc degree in architecture and works as a lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Alexandria University ‐ department of Architecture. He is Co-founder & Research director at Encode studio http://www.encodestudio.net. He developed Mantis as a Mathematica add‐on tools for Grasshopper http://www.grasshopper3d.com/group/mantis
